Using a syringe is a good way to illustrate the films tittle also have a love heart at the end adds to the effect, the two pills also go with the tittle of the film. Keeping it simple the colour scheme is very good as it doesn't complicate anything, red is the colour of passion and love this gets across to the audience that the film is based around romance.
Similar to the one above this is also very simple using a simple colour scheme helps to keep the poster easy to understand and appealing to the audience. The bright yellow and black make the poster easily noticeable, also using the yellow as the burning trail the car left behind makes the poster unique.
The poster shows a nut inside an ice cube this poster sums up the film with ease, it uses a key part of the film to illustrate it. The poster relates back to the film making it easily recognised, also the colour are not stand out colours but the combination catches the eye. Although the idea of a nut in an ice cube is unusual this makes this poster unique.
This poster uses the shape of a balloon to shape the text this choice is eye catching as at first it looks like a balloon if you take a closer look it spells out the word Up. This the choice of colour is good as the black stands out clearly over the blue sky. One fault is if a member of the public hadn't heard of the film you wouldn't guess this poster was for that movie. The choice of font although a good choice the P looks like an R which could confuse some people apart from that the poster is good.
Catch me if you can is a film which involves a lot of flight travel, using a plane in the poster was a very good idea. The colour scheme is eye catching bright, simple, easily recognised. Using a plane taking off was a good way to illustrate the film.
This poster is incredibly simple the film is called the road and the poster is a road leading into the distance, keeping it this simple was very creative. The colour scheme is also simple, brown to represent the side of the road and grey to represent the road and sky. A fault is that it isn't very eye catching, no bad colours it might not interest someone to take another look
This poster uses red and black as the only colours this gives the poster a dark appearance, also the fact that the red is illustrated as blood tells the audience that the film is dark. The posters shows a perfume container with a woman's face init, this is a hidden clue and it would also intrigue the audience and make them want to watch it. The font is very simple and neatly done it doesn't crowd the poster at all which is good.
This poster shows a key part of the film, the maze, using this as a design makes it incredibly unique and also draws the audience in. The colour scheme also is eye catching as the shades of green compliment the golden outline of the maze. Placing the title of the movie vertically inside the opening of the maze could be seen as the designer illustrating the word inception in the film which is to implant an idea into the mind.
The design is very simple, the poster uses a collar to resemble the invincible man, i think this is a good idea
as the designer as resorted to the simplest design. The colour scheme also is simple a shade of light blue
and the font is a dark colour this could be seen as boring or eye catching because there is so little, maybe in this instance more is less.
The posters colour scheme is a slightly dark rouge and a not so potent gold, making the colours this dull can be good or bad. The dull colours make the white writing stand out but also this may effect the audience response as the lack of brightness may not intrigue the audience. The use of the iron man mask on the poster is a good idea as people would recognise it easier people such as comic fans and people who are interested in comic book based films.
The colour scheme is incredibly simple it is just grey and black, the letters are bold and placed in the centre.
If you look carefully the letter K on the left looks like its about to fly kick the other K, this idea works well with the film as it is a martial arts film... the poster illustrates the film well.
This poster makes it seem as if the audience is looking at a cupboard with a monster staring back at you, the choice to make the this way is good because a lot of people can relate to this. Children and adults would know instantly what the film is about as almost everyone found the dark cupboard scary when they were younger because monsters may have been hiding in there. The colour scheme isn't amazing but the illustration fits the film.
The poster comes across as mysterious as the door in the poster in only partially open, this is associated with horror and scary things. The poster's colour scheme isn't very eyes catching the colours contrast but the poster is bait dull. I think this poster would get a lot of attention as it does seem interesting its like a partially open door.
This poster uses bent prison bars, this is a good idea because everyone knows what the bent bars mean, the poster is easy to relate to, the colour scheme is also dull but more interesting that the one above. The font isn't in the way but also it isn't really eye catching and i doubt the poster would draw people to it.
The poster uses the blue background to create the buildings and the outline of the setting sun in the horizon. The way the poster is design would draw people into it the right amount of dark and bright colours is used in this poster, making the buildings seem further away also makes spiderman look even higher up.
The poster uses parts of the movie in the design of the poster, one similarity is the mans position on the chair in the same as in the movie when they dunk the people in the dream state. A second similarity is the way the designer has connected the Title to the man in the chair the lines of connection are also used to connect the dreamers together in the film. This poster is instantly recognisable by the public. The colour scheme also work very well, the colours make the poster seem more exciting and very bold and attractive.
In the snow white the apple plays a big part in the fabric of the whole story so naturally an apple was used, red is a colour that instantly attracts the human eye therefor putting a strong doug colour in front of a white background is an excellent idea in this case it fits the story incredibly well. All in all the poster font and colour scheme as very well designed eye catching, bold, beautiful.
This poster fits the movie well, using the different colours that resemble the ninja turtles
The colour scheme is very eye catching as the different colours stand out. Although the poster works well
a lot of space in-between the writing and the turtle heads is unfilled, this could be a negative and positive thing, people could consider this poring and uncreative therefor not interested or be intrigued and persuaded to watch the film.
This poster shows the shades worn by the terminator in the film The Terminator
using the shades makes the poster more attractive because of the choice of colours.. black and red
also the terminator is recognised for his choice of shades this would also attract the audience. The red is bright and the sunglasses black making the red seem more potent and eye catching.
This poster is one of my favourite posters because it captures the main event of the film very well, as a minimalist poster should, the poster is very simple but is eye catching. The font is white-ish greyish colour and the iceberg is placed at the centre of the poster which would draw the attention of the audience we'll.
I think the designer did a good job not to complicate it at all.
